Venice High offers Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs with a strong graduation rate, and the new Wellen Park High opens in August 2026 to serve up to about 2,000 students.

Families in Wellen Park are historically zoned to Taylor Ranch Elementary, Venice Middle, and Venice High, though students are being reassigned to the new Wellen Park High as it opens. Nokomis families typically feed to Laurel Nokomis and then Venice High. In Palmer Ranch, most neighborhoods zone to Ashton Elementary, Sarasota Middle, and Riverview High, while some southern communities zone instead to Laurel Nokomis and Venice High.
