A 36-hole private club with two championship courses — the Heron and the Bay — designed by respected architects. Longboat Key Club
Longboat Key

The Meadows
Palmer Ranch / Sarasota
A well-established community golf course with three distinct nine-hole layouts that can be combined for variety. It's public-access, which makes it more accessible than many area clubs, and the course is well-maintained year-round.

Bee Ridge Country Club
East Sarasota · $$
A semi-private club with a classic 18-hole layout and a loyal local membership. The course is known for its challenging back nine and well-maintained greens.
Heritage Oaks Golf & Country Club

A well-regarded public course with a fair but challenging layout. Heritage Oaks attracts a mix of residents and visitors, and the pace of play is generally good.
Venice Golf & Country Club

Capri Isles Golf Club

Water Oak Country Club

A private club with an 18-hole course and a strong sense of community. Water Oak is popular with full-time residents who value a tight-knit membership and a relaxed pace.
TPC Prestancia

A premier semi-private club featuring two TPC championship courses — the Stadium Course and the Legends Course. Both are among the finest public-access courses in the region, with a full-service clubhouse, pro shop, and active member events.
